On February 21, the General Office of the Ministry of Education announced the list of the first batch of pilot virtual teaching and research labs, and the virtual teaching and research lab of university physics course cluster was successfully selected.

The virtual teaching and research room of university physics course cluster, with President Yan Xiaohong as the leader, is built by four universities with obvious advantages in engineering in the Yangtze River Delta region, and the main members include 50 backbone teachers of university physics course cluster in Jiangsu University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Shanghai University of Technology. The teachers of the course group have formed their own characteristics and advantages in course teaching reform, teaching and research mode innovation, excellent teacher training and high-quality resource construction, which provide strong support for the construction of the virtual teaching and research platform.

The success of the application cannot be separated from the top-level design of the university leaders and the support and leadership of the faculty leaders, but also the persistence and efforts of the physics people. Since June 21, under the leadership and deployment of the school leaders, the leaders of the School of Physics and Electricity have carefully organized the key teachers of the school to prepare for the declaration, and held offline meetings and online video seminars for four schools for many times during the summer. The whole process of declaration was supported and helped by the Office of Academic Affairs.

The College of Physics and Electricity will take this selection as an opportunity to actively explore new paths and mechanisms for the construction of grass-roots teaching organizations, establish and improve grass-roots teaching organizations to meet the needs of the new era, create a teaching development community and quality culture for teachers, guide teachers to return to teaching, love teaching and research teaching, cultivate high-quality teaching research and practice results, and provide important support for accelerating the construction of first-class undergraduate education of Jiangsu University.
